Silverlight goes 1.0, adds Linux support

From CNet News: Silverlight goes 1.0, adds Linux support. There's also a story on CNNMoney.com. The really interesting news here is that apparently Linux will be an officially supported platform in addition to Windows and Mac OS X. There's more info on both Scott Guthrie's blog and Miguel de Icaza's blog.

Implementing Moonlight (Silverlight on Linux) in 21 days

This is really incredible. Miguel de Icaza, creator of Mono (.NET for Linux, Solaris, and Mac OS X), has just posted an account of how they've implemented Moonlight--their implementation of Silverlight for Linux--in only 21 days. He also includes some updated screenshots. I'm a fan of both .NET and Silverlight, and it's great to see them running on Linux.

Screenshots of Moonlight (Silverlight on Linux)

Miguel de Icaza has posted screenshots of Moonlight, their open source implementation of Silverlight running on Linux. Pretty cool.
